Sustainability is a complex subject with wide ranging impacts. We rely on credited sustainability partners who are experts to help guide our day to day decision making. Every year, we commit to setting goals and challenge ourselves in meeting higher standards. Our principle is simple: a small change is better than no change. By taking small steps, we can collectively contribute to a net zero future.

Measurable Results

Plastic Clean up

To date, our giving has helped divert 173,336 lbs of plastic waste from nature. That’s the equivalent of 138 million plastic straws, or 6 million plastic water bottles.

Carbon Emission Reduction

Improvements to our supply chain allowed Hanni to reduce our 2024 CO2e by 3% per unit product sold.

We invested in carbon offsets that fund clean energy and forest restoration projects. To date, these projects reduced 220,462 lbs of CO2e, the equivalent of emissions from 265,074 vehicle-miles traveled.

BETTER CHOICES

Packaging Standards

Packaging should do its job without creating excess waste:

Aluminum is our preferred choice of packaging whenever possible. It is an infinitely recyclable material that is also easiest for curbside recycling. As a result, aluminum has one of the highest recycling rates in the US.

Plastic is always a last resort. If we do use it, we always opt for PCR, post consumer recycled plastic, to extend the life of plastic that was already produced.

All of Hanni’s paper boxes are curbside recyclable, and printed with vegetable-based inks on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) papers and/or printed in SGP (Sustainable Green Printing) certified facility.

The insert that cradles your weighted razor is made of biodegradable sugarcane pulp, which means it can live a second life as a nursery pot or simply tossed in your compost bin.

    • Eliminated 95% air freight shipping with ocean freight. Air freight can emit up to 50X more greenhouse gasses per ton-mile than ocean freight
  • In 2024
    • Moved 20% supply chain from offshore to onshore, eliminating ocean freight and reducing miles traveled by 95% and carbon emissions by 90%
  • 2025 Targets
• Moving 50% packaging supply chain from offshore to onshore
• Transition 60% of paper packaging production to a SGP facility
